A recent trip to Las Vegas had ML and I - along with one of my sisters and brother-in-law, on Nellis AFB before we checked into our hotel. One of the reasons we go to Nellis before checking into our hotel when we're in town is logistics support. Have you ever looked at the cost of that bottled water that's in your hotel room refrigerator or taken a bag of chips off of that snack display? Yeah - never doing that. So that's where the shoppette on base comes in handy. Buy a case of water and snacks to hold over after walking everywhere and to hydrate after the evening's done. After getting things at the shoppette and BX, we headed over to the Thunderbirds Museum - home of the U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron. As an Avgeek, stopping by here never gets old.
