Dragon Hill Lodge

At the beginning of our vacation leg, we  stayed at the Dragon Hill Lodge on Yongsan Garrison in Seoul, Korea. As part of the Armed Forces Recreation Center Resorts it offers a reasonable cost for military families as well as their relatives to stay at in prime locations in Hawaii, Florida, Germany and here in Korea. Location-wise in Seoul, it was very convenient being close to Seoul Station for us to catch the KTX, and the availability of taxis via the AAFES Exchange Plus App made it easy to travel wherever we needed to go in the city.

It was a good place to stay and we enjoyed it being our base at the end of the day after doing the many things we were able to do while there.

With our stay here at Dragon Hill Lodge, we've been to three of the four AFRC hotels around the world. This year is the 35th Anniversary of Dragon Hill Lodge, and it is well taken care of. Hale Koa in Waikiki is celebrating its 50th Anniversary, Shades of Green in Orlando, Florida is celebrating its 30th, and Edelweiss Lodge in Germany - the one we haven't been to yet, is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

I would like to stay here again. But next time we plan a trip to Seoul, I think we'd make the trip out when it is cooler. It was a great to be back in Korea after so many years despite the 90 degree and higher temperatures and high humidity. At least the rainy season ended just before we arrived!
